PORTLAND, Maine — A juvenile was taken into custody on Wednesday after a search warrant was served in connection to a shooting incident in Portland's Kennedy Park.
A search warrant was served Wednesday afternoon in connection with a shooting incident Monday where two males allegedly drove into the area of Kennedy Park and fired a gun at another male in his car, according to two news releases from the Portland Police Department. Police said the suspects had fled in the direction of Cumberland Avenue.
On Wednesday, a juvenile male was taken into custody and brought to the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland for probation violation, police said.
The search warrant execution was considered "high risk" and the Special Reaction Team was reportedly brought in. Police said a portion of Cumberland Avenue was rerouted.
