PLEASANT POINT, Maine — A Florida man has been arrested after he reportedly fired a gun into an apartment Sunday in Pleasant Point.
Police were notified shortly after noon about a report that gunshots were heard followed by a vehicle speeding off on Middle Road, the Pleasant Point Police Department said Tuesday in a news release.
According to police, units that responded to the scene discovered bullet holes in an apartment building.
"There were residents inside, but thankfully no injuries were reported," the release stated.
Following investigation, police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Brett Weinstock of Florida. Weinstock was located and taken into custody without incident.
Weinstock was charged with reckless conduct with a firearm.
The investigation remains ongoing, and more charges are possible, according to police.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office and Eastport Police Department assisted.
