Skowhegan woman charged with criminal speeding, OUI in Fairfield

Police say she was driving more than 100 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

FAIRFIELD, Maine — A woman from Skowhegan has been charged with criminal speeding and operating under the influence after a traffic stop in Fairfield on Tuesday.

It happened around 11 p.m. on Norridgewock Road, in the Fairfield Center area, according to a release from Fairfield police.

Officials said Kristen Gullifer, 35, was clocked going more than 100 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

Police also said they conducted field sobriety tests and an alcohol breath test, and the results showed she had a blood alcohol content of more than twice the .08% legal limit, according to the release.

Gullifer was taken to the Somerset County Jail, with bail set at $500.
