LINCOLN, Maine — The victim of a shooting incident Wednesday morning in Lincoln is believed to be a 51-year-old Lincoln man, state police say.

Lincoln police responded to a 911 call about a shooting at a home at 614 Mohawk Rd. around 9:25 a.m., Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said in a news release.

The caller who reported the shooting was at that home, according to Moss.

When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they discovered a deceased male. As a result, the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit North responded to investigate the death, the release stated.

On Thursday, an autopsy was performed by the state medical examiner's office. Moss said the cause of death was determined to be gunshot wounds and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.

"The investigation has led investigators to believe that the decedent is 51-year-old Jason Nadeau of Lincoln," the release stated.

The scene was processed by the Maine State Police Evidence Response Team. As of Thursday night, state police have identified all parties involved and no arrests have been made.

Maine State Police say they believe it to be an isolated incident, and there are no ongoing public safety concerns.
