PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police are seeking assistance from the public in their investigation into a homicide that happened in February 2017.
Scarborough resident Bryan "Kage" Garcia was found dead in his car on Chadwick Street in Portland's West End on Feb. 27, 2017.
Garcia’s death was ruled a homicide, and no one has been charged in connection with the crime.
In a social media post Tuesday, Portland police said the investigation is active.
“In the past four years, detectives have worked with members of the community to close four previously unsolved homicides,” Portland police Chief Mark Dubois said in the post. “Our detectives are hopeful that members of our community can step forward to help with this investigation.”
“Our detectives continue to review and seek new information in an effort to provide closure to the friends and family of Bryan Garcia,” Dubois added. “We are asking for your help once again, as we look for that missing puzzle piece that could help detectives with their investigation.”
