Brunswick police investigate car break-ins

Brunswick police are investigating burglaries that occurred Tuesday in the area of Jordan Avenue and Federal Street.

BRUNSWICK, Maine — Brunswick police announced in a Facebook post Tuesday they are investigating a string of robberies from vehicles.

The "smash and grab" burglaries occurred along Jordan Avenue and Federal Street, the post said.

Brunswick police investigated a similar case in September after several vehicles were burglarized in the downtown area and Cooks Corner.

Police are asking residents to check their home surveillance systems to assist in the investigation, according to the post.

If you have any information about the burglaries, police ask you to call 207-725-5521.

Police have also reminded residents to "never keep valuables in their cars."
