Richmond man charged with Bowdoinham assault that left three injured

Three people were injured at Greenleaf Apartments, including one woman who was taken to Central Maine Medical Center, the Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office said.

BOWDOINHAM, Maine — A man from Richmond faces multiple charges, including assault, following an incident at a Bowdoinham apartment complex that left three people injured. 

Just after 12:30 p.m. on Monday, the Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office responded to the Greenleaf Apartments located at 65 Preble Rd. in Bowdoinham for a report of a man who was allegedly assaulting multiple people, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. 

"Upon arrival, deputies identified three people who had been assaulted," the release stated. 

All were treated for injuries, including one woman who was brought to Central Maine Medical Center. Two men reportedly refused hospital evaluation.

Blake Sandelin, 42, of Richmond was arrested and brought to Maine Medical Center for treatment of injuries, the sheriff's office said. Sandelin was released and brought to Two Bridges Regional Jail on the following charges: elevated aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated assault, three counts of reckless conduct, criminal mischief, and violation of conditions of release. 

The Maine State Police and Richmond Police Departments, Bowdoinham Fire and Rescue, and Lisbon Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene. 

The investigation is ongoing. Those with information regarding the incident are asked to call Deputy Al Huntington at the Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office at 207-443-9711.
