Bangor Police are searching for this vehicle, with two occupants who are burglarizing cars.

BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police are asking for the public's help in locating two suspects committing "smash and grab" car burglaries.

The Bangor Police Department sent out a press release on Friday afternoon, stating they are looking for a suspect vehicle, a newer gray "gunmetal" Chrysler Pacifica. The van could possibly be a rental car and has one rear Maine passenger plate with four numbers and two letters, according to the release.

It is believed there are two occupants inside the vehicle: a driver, and a passenger in the backseat.

The release stated that no one has been seen getting out of the van because the occupants have parked in multiple spots around Bangor, pulling beside other vehicles, sliding open their van door and breaking into the other cars.

Police did not state the exact locations of these break-ins, but said they believe the same vehicle was involved in similar car burglaries in Hancock County.

Anyone with any information should contact Officer Curtis Grenier at the Bangor Police Department, 947-7384, extension 5739, or by email at curtis.grenier@bangormaine.gov.
