AUBURN, Maine — Police in Auburn are searching for suspects in a shooting investigation involving a group of teenagers.
On Saturday around 8:30 p.m., Auburn police officers responded to the area of Main Street for a weapons complaint, according to a Facebook post by the department. Police said a report claimed a group of teenagers had a firearm and shots were fired.
Shell casings and damage to a building were reportedly discovered in the initial investigation. Police said there were no injuries.
The suspects fled before officers arrived, police said. Detectives are working to identify the suspects in the incident and an investigation is ongoing.
