Sixth annual Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland 'Shelter Sleep-In PJ Paw-ty' 2024

Support a great cause for furry friends with Amanda Hill and Lee Goldberg. Donations are open through the event on Nov. 15.

WESTBROOK, Maine — The sixth annual Shelter Sleep-In at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland takes place mid-November this year. Fifteen participants, including a special NEWS CENTER Maine head-to-head competition between Amanda Hill and Lee Goldberg, will be competing for the top spot as the Sleep-In Champion.

Choose your favorite participants, like NEWS CENTER Maine's Amanda Hill and Lee Goldberg, to support with your donations and help them raise the most funds through friends, family, colleagues, and social media to help them take the top spot and be crowned the 2024 Shelter Sleep-In Champion. They’ll be staying the night with their favorite sleepover buddy by their side: an animal from ARLGP's loving selection of furry friends.

All participants will compete this year by decorating their own spaces with a theme. The public is welcome to come meet the participants from 5-8 p.m. and vote for their favorite theme as they make their last push for donations on the day of the event: Friday, Nov. 15.

Donations for your favorite sleep over champions are open now through the event on Nov. 15! Click here to donate to your favorite participants.

All proceeds for the event help raise funds to support the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland's life-saving work giving loving temporary care and shelter for stray, abandoned, confiscated and relinquished animals. Placing as many pets as possible into responsible and caring homes, the ARLGP creates awareness and support for the humane treatment of all animals. Striving to end animal overpopulation through education and the promotion of spaying and neutering, the ARLGP makes end-of-life decisions based on safety and animal welfare considerations.
