(NEWS CENTER Maine)--Camp Sunshine’s Watermelon Festival is back on Saturday, August 11th at L.L. Bean in Freeport!
Come see L.L. Bean’s campus transformed into watermelon central with music, seed-spitting contests, watermelon-eating contests, face-painting, watermelon slime-making, and more! Activities start at 11 am and go until 4 pm, and everything is FREE! The best part?
All proceeds make it possible to send families to Camp Sunshine. Founded in 1984, this incredible camp offers respite and recreation to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, all while providing top-notch psychosocial and medical support – all completely free of charge.
