Peanut butter is delicious; but it's also fatty. Right?
Yes, but it's a good kind of fat.
A study done in 2018 showed that people who regularly consumed nuts, including peanuts, weighed 5% less on average.
That has mainly to do with the high protein content of nuts; which keeps you full longer and reduces "empty snacking."
There IS however a catch: Many mainstream peanut butter brands add a lot of sugar to sweeten the deal. This sugar is unneeded and makes peanut butter substantially less healthy.
Best move: Choose "natural" peanut butter.
