LEWISTON, Maine — The undergraduate careers of 469 students at Bates College came to a close during their 2019 Commencement ceremony.
According to a release from the college, biochemist Jennifer Doudna gave the Commencement address, along with Maine Army veteran Travis Mills and CEO of shift7 Megan Smith.
There were 48 Maine residents in the Bates College class of 2019, with 36 states, territories, Washington D.C. and 36 countries represented.
The 2019 graduating class had 374 single majors, 94 double majors and one triple major.
There were 49 first generation college students in the class of 2019.
