PORTLAND, Maine — A total of $175,000 in pandemic relief funding is available to small businesses that suffered negative economic impacts due to COVID-19.
"That could be projects that haven't gotten off the ground, contractors that you were working with that weren't able to complete work, and any thing that has impacted your businesses' ability to maintain or gain revenue," Nathan Davis, director of programs at Gateway Community Services of Maine, said.
The funding comes from the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan. It's available to small businesses in Cumberland County that haven't been reimbursed with state or federal recovery funding.
"It is to really help folks who might have fallen between the cracks with some of the business recovery loans and grants that were available before," Davis told NEWS CENTER Maine.
Businesses can apply for $5,000, $7,500, or $10,000 grants, added Davis.
In order to qualify, businesses had to start operations after Jan. 1, 2020 and before May 11, 2023.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 15 before midnight.
