ATLANTA — One of America's most popular burgers is getting even bigger.
McDonald's announced it is bringing back the popular Double Big Mac, an expanded version of its already massive Big Mac.
The bigger, better burger boasts four all-beef patties instead of the normal two, along with the standard special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions and sesame seed bun.
The Double Big Mac will be available for a limited time, beginning January 24.
It's been nearly four years since McDonald's put the Double Big Mac on its menu. The new version will feature more of the special sauce, along with softer buns and a better sear on the beef patties, thanks to recent adjustments to the grill settings, the fast food franchise said.
According to CNN, McDonald's has sold different versions of the Big Mac in the past. The Grand Mac, which came out in 2017, used larger patties and a bigger bun, while the Mac Jr., released in 2018, was a downsized version of the original burger.
