WINSLOW, Maine — Big G's deli in Winslow, known for its large menu and even larger sandwiches, abruptly announced it has closed as of Sunday.
A message on the deli's website reads, "Sorry, we have closed as of 7/14/2024."
Kimberly Lindlof, president and CEO of the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, confirmed the closure to NEWS CENTER Maine.
“It’s a beloved institution in our area, and it’s sad to see it go. The loss will be felt,” Lindlof said.
The deli has not provided any further information about the nature of the closure.
