HAMPDEN, Maine — Anglers, a local seafood chain, announced their Hampden location will close at the end of April.
An announcement was shared by owner Bud Hall on Facebook on Saturday.
Hall said the closure was "[not] an easy decision," citing workforce and economic challenges.
Anglers also has two other locations, in Searsport and Newport. Both will remain open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the post.
"I want to thank our staff and customers for their support in Hampden and I hope you continue to enjoy dining at our Searsport and Newport locations," Hall said.
The Hampden location first opened in 2009 after the building was converted into a restaurant, according to the Bangor Daily News. The Searsport location reportedly opened in 2000, and the Newport location opened in 2002.
