BANGOR, Maine — Meet Zatter! This 9-year-old snuggle bug is looking for his forever home. He is up for adoption at the Bangor Humane Society.
Zatter is smiley, full of charm, and at his older age, is ready to live a comfortable life. Zatter is a American Pitbull Terrier and weighs 126 lbs. As a heavier set canine, staff at BHS would prefer him to land in a home that can help him get on a diet and stick to it. That's not to say he can't have any treats, but a healthy lifestyle for Zatter will help make sure he can be with his forever family for even longer.
Staff at BHS recommend Zatter to be the only animal in the house, however he may be comfortable with cats that have experience around dogs. For families, Zatter would prefer if there are young children in the home, that they be respectful and understand he's a lovable older pup, but not a jungle gym.
Zatter, pronounced like 'Zay-ter,' is often referred to as Zatter Tater at BHS because he's such a lovable couch potato. If you'd like to bring Zatter into your family, make a visit to the Bangor Humane Society.
You can learn more by visiting the Bangor Humane Society at 693 Mt. Hope Ave. in Bangor. BHS is open Monday through Friday from 1-6 p.m. and Saturday from 12-6 p.m.
