UNITY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- About 60,000 people are heading to Unity this weekend for the Common Ground Country Fair. This three-day event features 700 exhibits from all over the world.

The fair calls itself a celebration of rural living. The celebration includes food, music and art, as well as demonstrations by carpenters and farmers.

"It's really awesome when you're in a tent and you look around and there's fifty other people who are as excited about herbs as you are," Fair Director April Boucher said. "It's really exciting and people just love it."

The fair's goal is to teach people about Maine's roots, and encourage them to take part in new activities.

The Common Ground Country Fair is in its 38th year, and it raises money for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.
