"We sadly share the news that retired Maine Warden Service K9 Morgan recently passed away at the age of 12," MDIFW said in a social media post.
K9 Morgan worked for nine years, from 2011 until retirement in 2020, as a search and rescue conservation K9 with her handler and partner, Game Warden Corporal Kris MacCabe. They're credited with 10 human search and rescue finds as well as numerous evidence finds in fish and wildlife investigations, MDIFW stated.
