Fetch ME a Home: Piper is a fun-loving pup

At two-and-a-half years old, Piper has plenty of energy to keep up with your morning jogs or hikes. She loves people and chasing bubbles in the yard.

KENNEBUNK, Maine — At an estimated two-years-nine-months old, Piper is a girl with a lot of love and energy to give a new family. She's currently in foster care through the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk, so you'll want to call ahead if you want to meet her.

Piper is described as an introvert, but the kind that just needs a beat to warm up to you. She can be shy when meeting new friends, but once she feels comfortable, AWS said she absolutely blossoms into a "real goober" who loves attention.

Piper is a mix and about 67 pounds. This girl loves the outdoors and would love to join you on walks or even a jog in the morning. You can take her to the beach or the lake, because she's a big fan of swimming and splashing in any kind of water. She also loves to lie down in the sunshine - who doesn't?

One of her favorite hobbies is chasing bubbles in the yard, or catching her favorite ball.

AWS recommends a home that stays fairly active with outdoor activities, and is willing to bring her along. She's happiest when exercised and will be ready come home and give you all of her attention. Because of that, she also would like to be the only dog in the home, and smaller children and cats aren't recommended for her energy level.
