PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --

If you're a fan of zombies and Michael Jackson, you may have heard about Portland's annual “Thriller” flash mob.

For the past four years, people have been coming out to perform the famous dance to Jackson's hit song.

Dozens turned out dressed up in all types of Halloween costumes in Portland's Monument Square on Thursday.

Despite the rain, a healthy crowd showed up to watch as well.

They may have even run into Shawn Munro Edgecomb, who’s done the flash mob for three years and this time was dressed as a zombie bride.

She recalled her first time participating.

“You know I didn't know how it was going to work.,” she said. “I didn't know how people were going to react. I wasn't involved the first year. This is year four and it seems to grow every year.”

The zombie bride also said the cold, wet weather did actually make her fingers feel half-dead, so the whole thing was just more authentic.
