Where: South Paris
When: 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
What: This is a major fundraising event for the McLaughlin Garden. It features over 300 beautifully carved pumpkins and intricate displays with a circus theme, complimentary popcorn, and hot chocolate.
Friday, Oct. 18 - Sunday, Oct. 26
Where: George & Leon’s, Westbrook
When: Oct. 18, 6:30 p.m.
What: Co-hosted by Matt Awkward of the Fun Box Monster podcast and it's FREE!
Where: Wilton
When: Oct. 18 & 19 and Oct. 25 & 26
What: A haunted house with what’s billed as “terrors beyond your wildest imagination!” It offers three different “experience” options:
- General admission ($25) – plenty terrifying
- VIP ($35) – includes the ‘Last Ride’ coffin burial experience.
- Hall Pass ($45) – includes more features including access to both the Escape Room and the Last Ride coffin burial experience and most importantly…the actors can touch you!
Saturday, Oct. 19
Where: Leeds Fire Station
When: 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
What: French toast, pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, cider and more.
$10 adults, $6 kids 4 to 12, under 4 free.
All proceeds go to buying air packs for firefighters.
Where: Bucksport
When: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m
What: Too many activities to mention but these two caught our eye: launching pumpkins into the Penobscot River ($2 a pumpkin) … and a screening of “Rocky Horror Picture Show” at the Alamo Theater at 9:00 p.m.
Where: Portland Expo
When: Oct. 19, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Oct. 20, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
What: Billed as the biggest card show in Maine. Sports celebrities and more than 200 vendor tables.
Sunday, Oct. 20
Where: Augusta
When: 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
What: The event will take place along the Kennebec River Rail Trail from Augusta to Hallowell and back. To benefit Free ME from Lung Cancer.
