BOOTHBAY HARBOR, Maine — Ahoy, Mainers! The 62nd annual Windjammer Days set sail this summer. Join us from June 23-29 for a weeklong expedition to Boothbay Harbor filled with fun events, sightseeing, food, music, and more.
Show your support for local Maine businesses and honor maritime history with main events such as the Harbor Aglow, Street Parade, Artist's Alley, and everything in between.
Sunday, June 23, starts the morning off at 8 a.m. with the R/C sailing competition at the Spruce Point Inn alongside the Maine Model Yacht Club to host a whole day of R/C sailing competitions and spectating.

As the summer begins to bloom, Boothbay Harbor's Windjammer Days is also a time for summer business practices to attract tourists from all over and give them an opportunity to experience coastal Maine. Not only is it a clam-packed week of fun for the whole family, but a means of testing the waters for a boost in business revenue and seeing customer presence as well.
Mark and Diane Gimbel share their years of experience when it comes to operating on the Windjammer Days:
"I think it’s the tradition in town, and also kicks off the summer season, the busy season," Diane Gimbel, Mark’s wife, said. Besides owning and running several retail stores, the Gimbels are both directors of Windjammer Days.
It's a tradition that puts favorable wind in everyone's sails for the summer.
