WINDSOR, Maine — A man from China, Maine, was killed in a crash in Windsor early Thursday morning.
Shawn Donovan, 65, was driving a Subaru Outback when he apparently suffered a medical issue and drove off Mud Mill Road at about 3:12 a.m. and hit a group of trees, according to the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office.
"Life saving measures were administered to Mr. Donovan and Rescue Personnel were unable to revive him," the sheriff's office said in a news release.
Lt. J. Chris Read, of the sheriff's office, said authorities were investigating to determine the exact nature of the medical event and whether Donovan died from that or the impact of the crash.
A passenger, 42-year-old Jessica Hans of Augusta, was found unconscious but became alert and was brought to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta for treatment, the sheriff's office said. Read said her injuries were minor.
