BREWER (NEWS CENTER Maine) — A man with Florida license plates crashed into a duplex in Brewer Wednesday shutting down Elm Street as police investigate the crash.
Deputy Police Chief Chris Martin said it appears the man driving a pick-up truck had a medical issue that caused him to cross into the opposite lane, go over a curb, clip a parked car, and hit a tree, all before smashing into the home.
The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. at 120 Elm Street.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital. No word has been released on the extent of his injuries.
Police say no one in the home was hurt.
