MILO (NEWS CENTER Maine) — Many students in Maine have a second snow day Wednesday after the state got pounded, in some places, with two feet of snow.
The Milo Police Department came up with a good idea to get students off the couch, outside and helping their neighbors, and they aren't afraid to dangle free pizza as an incentive.
Milo Police took to Facebook to offer to share pizza with students who send a picture of themselves helping shovel for someone in need.
This is not the first time the Police Department has offered the savory reward, but they say in the past it has not been well-received. They are hoping the double-digit piles of snow can get a little lift with the offer to eat pizza with the officers.
